To be honest, I don't see the connection between the almond joy candy bars and this cookie recipe. Although these cookies are delicious, here's my dilemma. There were more chocolate chips than there was cookie dough to make them stick. I love chocolate, but this was too much. And, there just wasn't enough coconut to make a difference. On my next batch I'm going to use one less cup of chocolate chips and add 1-2 cups more coconut. I'm also going to add 1-2 packages of cream cheese for a softer texture and added taste. Also, instead of regular almond slices, you could also use honey roasted or caramel salted (yum) almonds. You'll have to chop them up, but it was worth it!
