First Off, A Blessed Thanksgiving to Us All! We invited a few elderly neighbors and another young lady, balancing us "old folk off; to spend USA's "traditional family day" at our place. We all took ride to #Rutledge Falls 1st Baptist for prayer, food & clothing last week;they were like 2kids in a candy shop. Had a great time and all felt so blessed. Riding home went chatting about upcoming menu expected & if in fact they were looking forward to a special family tradition of their own that they'd like to share with "Our Chef." Amazingly found out they were both too busy trying to figure out what crab cakes (this recipe is what was planned, tired of my "usual.) and just what were stuffed mushrooms? How do you get them lil things stuffed? and with what? Let alone what in-the world eggplant parmesean was!!?? We found out neither of our elderly neighbors had EVER had those specialities!! Last mentioned was, they were gonna be fed like Kings & Queens. To get to the chase; the elderly gentleman, Mr. James Murphy, was so kind and always had a smile no matter, silly jokes to share and man, he LOVED his Elvis!! Our property managers found him this past Fri 13th early in morning, passed away, seems to me Mr.James knew and was ready - He believed in the Lord and that Jesus was his Savior. Found face-down with a rose & scroll clutched in his hands. II ask that all here say a lil prayer for Mr James and I am so grateful for this recipe. Thank You.
