I made this for our Christmas Eve dinner this year. Because we have one family member that cannot eat anything with gluten I substituted Arrowroot for the flour. Arrowroot thickened the sauce well but after cooking in the oven it became looser. It still tasted fine but I prefer a thicker sauce. The family didn't notice the difference and it was nice for our gluten-sensitive member to be able to eat the same as the rest of the family.
