water or chicken broth
stalks celery with leaves, sliced
yellow onions, chopped
chopped green or red pepper
small bunch bok choy, chopped
bay leaves, dried
salt & pepper to taste
1Prepare all vegetables
2Bring water or chicken broth to a boil and add vegetables.
3Rinse beans in cold water and add to pot.
4Add bay leaves and salt if preferred.
5Cook for 1/2 hour then adds barley. Let simmer 2 hours or till veggies aqre tender.
