Ingredients

1 pkg
split peas
6 c
water
1/2 small
onion, chopped
1/2 small
green pepper, chopped

garlic cloves, chopped

pieces of smoked turkey, pref with bone
1 c
pumpkin, cubed
salt/pepper

bay leaf
1 pinch
cumin

Directions Step-By-Step

Place everything in a large pot.

Bring to a boil.

cover and simmer on low for 45-60 mins, stirring often, as for it not to stick at the bottom.

It will thicken...you can add more water if you like it soupier...and that's it....delicious
