Alicia's Notes:
This is my forever favorite chili recipe.
I sometimes add a little more spice if I'm in the mood for something with a good kick, but whenever I hear chili, this is where my mind wanders and mouth waters!

***Note***
If you don't want too much kick only use one jalapeno and omit the hot sauce, but add another 1/2 to 1 Tbsp of chili powder.
Also, start with just 2 cups of water, if it is still too thick slowly add the remaining water until it reaches desired consistency.

Serve hot. If desired top with shredded cheddar cheese and diced green onion and a side of cornbread or tortilla chips.
This recipe can also be done in a large Crockpot. Follow the directions but cook on low heat setting for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally.
