Crockpot Calico Beans-My Version

This is my take on a popular favorite. This makes a big batch and is a little "zippier" than the original version. Can easily be a vegetarian dish...just leave out the bacon!

Ingredients

2 can(s)
chili hot beans, undrained
2 can(s)
black beans, drained
1 can(s)
cannelini beans-or other white bean, drained
1 can(s)
butter beans, drained
1/4 c
catsup
1/4 c
tomato sauce
1/4 c
honey or brown sugar
1 Tbsp
yellow mustard
1 tsp
onion powder
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 tsp
chili powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
ground black pepper
4 slice
bacon(optional)

Step-By-Step

1Empty undrained chili hot beans and drained black, canellini and butter beans into crockpot.

2Add remaining ingredients(except bacon) and stir to combine.

3Lay bacon(if using)across top of beans. Cook on low for 3-5hrs. Remove bacon and discard, or chop into small pieces and stir back into beans.
