Cranberry Trail Mix

This healthy trail mix was given to me by a friend who used it for a 4H cooking show-- I have loved it ever since. I like that there is no granola in it.

Ingredients

1 c
whole almonds
1 c
dried cranberries
2 c
small pretzels
1/2 c
sugar
1
egg white
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
cinnamon

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350

2Spread almonds evenly on an ungreased baking sheet.

3Bake 7*10 minutes or until nuts are slightly darker in color. Cool completely in pan.

4Reduce oven temperature to 225*

5In a large bowl, combine almonds, cranberries, & pretzels.

6In a small bowl, beat egg white until foamy. Pour over pretzel mixture. Toss until well coated.

7In another small bowl combine remaining ingredients. Sprinkle over pretzel mixture and toss till well coated.

8Spread evenly on a greased baking sheet. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely on pan. Store in an airtight container
