HOMEMADE PITA CHIPS BY SALLYE
We have a wonderful greek bakery here where we buy our pita bread dirt cheap. Even if you buy in regular grocery store, these are much cheaper than commercial chips.
Featured Pinch Tips Video
- small pita bread
- olive oil cooking spray
- sea salt (optional)
- sesame seeds (optional)
1Preheat oven to 350º
Line baking sheet with parchment paper (optional)
2Separate as many pita bread slices as you wish (I usually do 4 at a time - 8 halves)
Cut each half into 6 pie shaped wedges and place on baking sheet in a single layer
Spray with cooking spray
3Sprinkle salt and sesame seeds over wedges, making sure the salt and seeds adhere (use a little more spray if necessary but don't overspray)
4Cook for 10+ minutes until chips are golden brown
Transfer to cooling rack.
When cool, if not using right away, store in ziplock bag or covered container.
