This side is a treat in and of itself. Add more raisins if you like or even some chopped walnuts for texture!

Be sure not to serve with a sweet main dish, unless you have a devilish sweet tooth.

Ingredients

carrots, shredded
1/2 c
raisins
2 Tbsp
dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp
vanilla
2 Tbsp
butter
1/2 tsp
seasoned salt
1/4 tsp
cinnamon
1 pinch
paprika, sweet mild
4 Tbsp
water

Step-By-Step

1Place all ingredients in a saucepan with a cover.

2Cook on low to medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring about every 10 minutes. Add more water, by the teaspoon, if necessary.

3The side dish complements non-sweet main dishes.
