Dia's green bean delight

My daughter K'Dia loves when I make these green beans. She asks me to cook this side dish all the time. She could eat this everyday if I would cook it.

1 lb
green beans, fresh
1/2 stick
butter, room temperature
3 Tbsp
minced onions
1/2 pinch
salt and pepper
1 Tbsp
1 c
water, boiling

Directions Step-By-Step

First, you will wash and snap the ends off the green beans. Do not break them like green beans. You are to leave them whole and long.

In a saucepan, you will add the green beans to the saucepan along with 1 cup of water. Allow the green beans to steam cook for 5 minutes.
You don't want the green beans to cook all the way. You want it to change a darker green but still crunchy to the bite. (taste a green bean to see if its halfway done but still has a crunchy taste)

when the green beans are ready, you are to drain the water off the green beans and return them to the saucepan.
Add all of the remaining items and sautee the vegatables until fully coated (3 minutes max).

Remove green beans and serve to your family.
