I just love this salad with a cold ground-up roast beef sandwich, makes for a refreshing lunch on a hot summer day. This would be my Grandma Jo Anderson's version of this cucumber salad. Hopefully this salad makes its way to your dinning room table this summer :)

Ingredients

4 large
sliced and peeled cucumbers
1/4 c
sugar
4 tsp
vinegar
1 c
mayonnaise
1/2 tsp
dill weed
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 medium
onion, thinly sliced

Directions Step-By-Step

1
slice and peel all cucumbers, and slice up onions, (like oinon ring style)

In a large bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, dill, and seasoned salt. Mix in the cucumber slices, tossing to coat. put in fridge and serve with a dash of pepper to taste, Great with sandwiches or just by itself. Enjoy :)

Marcy and Lizzy, we need to contact Heinz for a good source for our cucumbers - don't you think? Oh! Of course, they might want to 'adapt' the recipe to post on a Heinz product! Hmmmm. hahahahaha

You two are so humorous. What a terrific way to start the day! Heck, I'll volunteer to wash those pesky dishes!

Talk to you later ladies!

Good morning ladies! @Jean, just what I needed a goood chuckle to get the day going!! thanks for that!

I have not had much of a garden in several years. Spend a lot of time at the local farmer's markets!

Ok ok I will do the dishes! hahahaha

Have a great hump day ladies!

Lizzy, I've lived on the east coast for most of my life - yet have never been successful growing squash. I take instructions happily. Otherwise, I'll buy some at the Farmer's Market. Is this an appropriate response or do you want me to swear I won't make you ladies wash dishes? Mmmmmmmmm????????
