~ Comforting Fried Cabbage & Bacon ~
In the same skillet cook the onion in the bacon fat until clear, then add cabbage - stir to combine...add salt and pepper...I also add some red pepper flakes. Cover with lid and cook until the cabbage is tender and beginning to caramelize.
Once tender, stir in the crispy bacon and serve immediately. I drizzle with balsamic vinegar as serving, optional!
