Method:
Stove Top

Ingredients

1 to 2 lb
fresh green beans
2 Tbsp
olive oil
1 Tbsp
butter
2 Tbsp
soy sauce
1 Tbsp
honey
1 clove
minced garlic
2 or 3
green onions, chopped
salt & pepper to taste

Step-By-Step

1Whisk soy sauce and honey together in small dish and set aside

In heavy skillet turned to medium high heat add olive oil and butter.

Allow butter to melt
2When oil and butter is hot, add green beans

Cook, stirring frequently to make sure all sides are browned (about 5-7 minutes)

While still in pan over heat, pour soy sauce and honey mixture over beans (you will have to scrape the honey out of the bowl)

Cook about 5 minutes until soy sauce and honey mixture is carmelized on beans (oil will turn dark brown)
3Add garlic and onions and stir into mixture

Add salt and pepper to taste at this time

Continue cooking for a minute or so until garlic and onions are tender
4Transfer to shallow serving dish and serve while still warm.

Garnish with roasted slivered almonds if desired
