|2 qt||cucumbers, or 16 (4-5 inches long) each, sliced|
|1 1/2 c||salt|
|1 qt||boiling water|
|2 c||onion, sliced|
|2 c||green bell peppers, sliced|
|2 c||red or yellow bell peppers, sliced|
|2 c||cider vinegar|
|1 tsp||celery seed|
|1 tsp||mustard seed|
|3/4 tsp||turmeric seed|

DirectionsIn a large glass bowl, toss cucumber slices with salt. Pour boiling water over and let set overnight.Next day:
Put on a large pot of water to boil. Use a pot large enough to process jars in.Prepare vegetables and combine with remaining ingredients in a large sauce pan. Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Increase heat and bring to a boil.Add cucumbers to mixture and cook gently for five minutes.Pack mixture into clean, sterilized jars, remove air bubbles and seal. Process in boiling water for five minutes.
