Block Party Beans

I think mom got this recipe from Taste of Home magazine, it has a been a family and friends favorite for many years. Mom used to make this to take to yaht club gatherings and for football parties; it's always a great hit.

For a smokier flavor I add 1 tsp. Liquid smoke and 1 tablespoon worcestershire.

ground beef

onions, chopped
1 c
1 can(s)
(10-3/4 oz.) condensed tomato soup
1 can(s)
(6oz) tomato paste
1/2 c
1 can(s)
(16oz) green beans, drained
1 can(s)
(15oz) chili beans in zesty sauce, undrained
1 can(s)
(16oz) pork and beans, undrained
1/2 c
packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp
prepared mustard


1In a large dutch oven, brown beef over medium high heat. Drain fat. Add onion and celery and cook until tender. Stir in soup, tomato paste, and ketchup; simmer 15-20 minutes. Spoon into large kettle or roaster. Add all remaining ingredients; stir well. Bake uncovered at 350 degree for 1 hour.
