carol's Notes:

This is one of our favorite camping recipes, then it turned into a great recipe epecially with grilled meats. Everyone loves this.

Directions

1
Peel your potatoes and onions.(I like to use russet potates the best),(You can also use white and vidalia onions). rinse off and let drain
2
Cut up potatoes and onions in cubes, cut up bacon in small bite-size pieces and cover in water(barely cover with water), or it will be too soupy. Add your salt ,pepper, and nature seasoning. You may have to add a little more later.also you may have to add a little bit more water. Use your own judgement if you might need more.
3
Cook on high. (I use a thick pot)You have to stir a lot when potatoes get tender. They will start to thicken up like gravy.(turn stove on medium heat) When they have thickened up pretty good. Turnoff stove and cover with lid and take off the heat burner. Let it sit until the rest of your meal is ready. Then dig in||||||

My Dad used to make a dish similar to this, he called it shanty-fashioned potatoes. Thanks for posting this. I will be making this soon.
