Ingredients

1 lb
bacon finely chopped
1 medium
onion finely chopped
2 lb
cabbage finely diced
1/4 tsp
chili flakes ( optional)
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper
1
granny smith apple finely chopped ( optional) give a very special flavor

Step-By-Step

1Fry bacon until crisp and well browned.
Drain and set aside.

2Add chopped onion to the bacon grease and stir until translucent

3Add cabbage, pepper flakes, salt and pepper, stirring until all cabbage is coated

4Add the crumbled bacon bits, peeled and diced apple and cover.
Cook over low heat until cabbage is tender.
