Tammy's Cream Cheese Frosting

This classic frosting is the perfect complement to carrot, apple-nut and spice cakes. To soften cream cheese in the microwave, place unwrapped packages on a plate; microwave on medium for 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until softened.

This is enough frosting to frost a 3 layer cake, or 15"x10" or 13"x9" pan or Bundt cake pan.

butter or margarine, softened
2 pkg
(3-ozs) each cream cheese, softened
1 tsp
vanilla extract
3 c
confectioners' sugar (powdered sugar)

Directions Step-By-Step

In a mixing bowl, beat butter, cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in sugar. Store frosted cake in the refrigerator.
