Use over vegies. This makes a quart for a large group. Can be cut down.

Ingredients

3 1/4 c
milk
3 Tbsp
butter, plus
1 1/2 tsp
butter
1/2 c
all purpose flour
2 1/2 c
shredded cheese (cheddar, or a blend of american and jack)

Step-By-Step

1Heat milk over medium heat until just hot.
2In a large sauce pan, melt butter. Add flour and whisk until smooth.
3Add hot milk, stirring constantly.
4Add shredded cheese. Cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring frequently, until smooth and thick.
