Saving more $ to DIY.... Sorry I dont have a pic of gravy at the moment but will post one as soon as I can!


3 Tbsp
beef or chicken granules
1 tsp
onion powder
1 tsp
garlic powder
bay leaf
1/2 tsp
celery seed
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
1/2 c

Directions Step-By-Step

run all ingredients (except flour) through food processor until powdered
Add to flour and mix together through sifter a few times until well incorporated.
Store in mason jar or baggie marked for contents and date
To make gravy mix 1/4 cup of mix with 2 cups water or milk, wisk while heating until smooth and serve warm!

I don't see why not Donna, give it a try and tell us how it works!
I also use milk with this for creamier gravies!

I'm from Louisiana and we use a lot of dark brown rouxs here. Do you think it can be made with the roux I made and saved in the fridge? My grandmother made a very special gravy and didn't have all the spices in it. Just onion, celery, green onion and a little kitchen bouquet. I now use chicken broth or stock instead of water.
