Warm and Creamy Bacon Dip

- cream cheese, softened
- 2 c
- sour cream
- 3 oz
- bacon bits or 4 slices of bacon, chopped into small pieces
- 2 c
- cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 c
- green onion, chopped (optional)
1Bring the cream cheese to room temperature. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a bowl, combine all ingredients. Place in 1-quart baking dish.
2Cover. Heat 25-30 minutes or until hot. Serve with sliced french bread, crackers and/or chips. Makes 3 cups.
3Serving option: Dip may also be placed in hollowed round sourdough loaf or bread bowl, wrapped in foil and heated in 400 degree oven for 30 minutes.
