Love big fluffy pretzels? This is the perfect cheese dip to go with them. Great as a football party food or a poker night at your house. The stout beer adds a unique flavor to this dip.

Ingredients

4 Tbsp
butter
4 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1 c
heavy whipping cream
11 oz
bottle of guiness draught stout
1/2 c
onion
2 c
shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp
dry mustard
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1
bay leaf
salt and pepper

Step-By-Step

1In a medium sauce pan, melt butter.

2Add flour to melted butter and cook for five minutes, stirring constantly.

3Whisk in heavy cream and then whisk in beer.

4Add onion, dry mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Whisk together.

5Slowly add in cheese about a half cup at a time, whisking together each time.

6Add in bay leaf and let thicken over very low heat.

7Serve with large pretzels. Otis Spunkmeyer has some very good pretzels that you just warm up in the oven for a few minutes. If you are feeling adventurous, you could make your own pretzels.
