GRANDMA'S FRUIT SALAD
2 lg cans fruit cocktail drained (extra cherries, please)
1 lg can crushed pineapple or chunks ( well drained)
2 c each, red and green grapes (seedless) Can cut in half
1 sm can mandarin oranges, drained
1 sm bag mini marshmallows
1 lg tub whipped topping, thawed
2 lg bananas, sliced or diced
optional: any variety of fruit you desire is good to use: berries, blueberries, strawberries, apples, etc.

FREDA's Notes:

SIMPLE and my kids' favorite. I made a different fruit salad one year and my youngest son, Joe, had a fit. "Mom, this is not what I asked for!" Oops, mom was in deep poo poo!!

 

Directions

Drain all canned fruit very well. Add all fruits - except bananas - into a large bowl. (Save the bananas 'til serving time.)

Add marshmallows and whipped topping; toss well to mix.
Add in the fresh bananas just before serving.

This is my favorite!! My Mom has been making this same recipe for years. Now I make it for both sides of the family. I will take your advise and add berries this year!! thanks :o)!

You could also add some shredded coconut

Yes Terry, You sure Could.
(We don't due to Seniors & small children, having problems Chewing or Catching in their Throats.)
But Yes You definately could use Coconut, No problem, almost any combination of Fruits work well.
