My children will love these and I always prefer anything handmade by them for my tree, even though my oldest are teenagers now!

If someone could please tell me what kind of paint to use and how can I seal them I will be very grateful. Do you think I could use food coloring to color the dough ? I plan to do this project with my grandsons. Thank you for your help!
