Stormy's notes for this recipe:
It's time to deep condition your hair and save money ....try this mayonnaise hair treatment. Great way to make your hair shiny and healthy, You get the same results with a dollop of this condiment as in a high priced salon.

Wet hair to prepare it for deep conditioning. Use warm water and wrap your hair in a towel until ready to apply the mayonnaise hair treatment.

Scoop out two or three tablespoons of mayonnaise into a bowl. How much you'll need will depend on the length of your hair. For short hair, start with 1 to 1-1/2 tablespoons. For medium length/shoulder-length hair, start with 2 tablespoons, and for long hair, scoop our 3 tablespoons.

Apply the mayonnaise liberally to the scalp rubbing it in with the fingertips. Apply more mayonnaise along the length of the hair until all of the hair is coated.

Wrap a plastic bag around the hair, being careful to keep the bag away from the face. The bag will trap the heat from your head allowing the mayonnaise hair treatment to work deep down.

Leave the mayonnaise on for 20 minutes then rinse thoroughly.

I used to do this in the 70's and early 80's for overprocessed hair from coloring and perms. It really does work well.

My hair was so damaged back then from California sun, and overprocessing that I used to leave the mayo on my hair overnight, with a towel wrapped around the bag too. I really did wonders for my hair.

Lol!! I am remembering my surfing days under the Florida sun...just as damaging! Mayonnaise is by far the best "homemade" product I have ever used on my hair. Beer used to be a close second. These days I'm experimenting with avacado and fig oil. I have naturally blond, naturally curly hair. A nightmare!
