These meatballs require no bread crumbs, yet they're are still firm and full of meaty flavor. Cut the subs into three sections and you've got sliders.

These would be a great appetizer or a hearty dinner. Pairing the spaghetti and pizza sauces make a great combo. Thanks to the sausage and ground beef, the meatballs are super flavorful. I topped ours with Provolone cheese... each bite was perfection!

Ingredients

1 lb
ground beef 80% or higher
1 lb
italian pork sausage mild or hot (i use johnsonville)
1/2 c
yellow onion, chopped
1 jar(s)
spaghetti sauce (garden combination)
1 jar(s)
pizza sauce
6
hoagie rolls
6 slice
provolone cheese, muenster cheese, or swiss cheese

Step-By-Step

1Combine ground beef, Italian sausage, and onion.

2Use a 1/3 scoop amount of the meat mixture to form meatballs. You want them large because they will shrink.

3Place in 13 x 9 baking dish and bake at 350' of 45 minutes

4Add spaghetti sauce and pizza sauce and bake for another 15' minutes.

5Leave hoagie rolls closed and Toast hoagie rolls only on the outside. Add the meatballs with sauce and top with cheese. Enjoy!!

6We also use Colby jack cheese and mild cheddar.
