Low Fat Spaghetti Sauce

Both my husband and I have to eat low fat most of the time so I thought I would post one of our recent recipes for Spaghetti sauce..

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

1 lb
extra lean ground beef
1 clove
garlic, minced (or more to taste)
1 medium
onion, chopped fine
1/2 medium
green bell pepper, chopped fine
1/2 c
sliced mushrooms
2 c
chopped fresh tomatoes with juice or 16oz can diced tomatoes
1 can(s)
6 ounce tomato paste
1 tsp
sugar
1
beef bouillon, cubes
1 tsp
dried basil
1 tsp
dried oregano
1/2 tsp
salt

Step-By-Step

1Crumble and brown ground beef. Drain off all fat; wipe out
frying pan.
2Turn beef into colander, and rinse with cold water.
Pat dry with paper towel; return to pan.
3Add garlic, onion, pepper, mushrooms and cook over medium
low heat, stirring as necessary until veggies are soft.
4Add tomatoes and tomato paste. Add seasonings and simmer until hot throughout. Adjust seasonings to taste and serve over pasta with low fat Parmesan sprinkled over.
