I adapted this from a recipe my mom gave me to make it less in fat and carbs, since she is diabetic. She said it tastes just as good as the original.

2 c
dried ronzoni garden delight rigatoni pasta.
8 oz
spicy turkey sausage, halved lengthwise, cut into 1"-pieces
1-1/2 lb
golden delicious apples, cored, cut into 1/2"-thick slices.
1/2 c
light cream
1/2 c
crumbled gorgonzola cheese
1 Tbsp
fresh chopped basil

Directions Step-By-Step

In a 4-quart dutch oven, cook pasta as directed, drain, set pasta aside. In same dutch oven, cook sausage until lightly browned, about 6 min. Add apples, cook until lightly browned, about 7 min. Stir in pasta, light cream, and Gorgonzola cheese. Heat through, garnish w/ basil.
