A low-fat recipe for the classic pasta dish made with cream, eggs, and bacon. I got the recipe from Family Circle Magazine. Hope your family loves it as much as mine!

Ingredients

6 slice
turkey bacon - chopped
1 1/2 c
fat free half and half
1/2 c
liquid egg substitute
1 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1/4 tsp
ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper
1 lb
fettucine
1 c
frozen pea
1/2 c
parmesan cheese- grated
2 Tbsp
chopped parsley

Directions Step-By-Step

Bring a large pot of slightly salted water to a boil.

Cook bacon in skillet. Whisk half and half, egg substitute, flour, nutmeg, salt, pepper in a bowl.

Add pasta to boiling water. Cook until al dente.

Add peas and cream mixture to skillet; cook, whisking until slightly thickened, 5 mins. (do not heat quickly or sauce will separate.

Drain pasta; don't rinse. In bowl, mix with sauce cheese and parsley.
