Zelda's Notes:

This was one of my Brother's favorite casserole. He would almost eat 1/2 of the casserole dish by hisself. He liked the frozen vegetables but he preferred the fresh veggies when they were in season. So I hope you enjoy the dish like he did.

Directions

1
Cook cauliflower and broccoli in boiling water until slightly underdone. Drain and set aside. Melt butter in 1 quart saucepan. Stir in flour and blend well. Gradually add milk, Stirring constantly until thickened. Add Cheddar, Parmesan, and salt, and stir over low heat until cheese melts. Place vegetables in ungreased 4 quart casserole dish and Sprinkle with chopped ham.Pour cheese sauce over all.Cover with buttered bread crumbs. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes, or until crumbs are golden browns.

This is very similar to one of my favorite casseroles too. My recipe includes the exact same ingredients plus adding 2 cups leftover cooked rice. It gives the casserole a little more substance. I love it!
