Melt a tsp of butter in a Dutch oven or any large pan with a lid.
Chop the onion and cabbage.
Brown lightly the ground beef and the sausage in the skillet with butter;remove from pan,set aside.
Combine the cabbage and onion and place into the pan.
Add salt, pepper, and garlic to cabbage and onion.
Cut up the remaining stick of butter and add to cabbage and onion; place lid on the pan and cook for 15 min.
Add the sausage and ground beef to the pan, stirring all ingredients together; continue cooking 15 min. On low heat, and there you have a side dish of traditional cabbage and noodles turned into a main course! Now enjoy. Simple and easy and goes well with a glass of rose wine!
