Ingredients

1 large
onion,chopped
1
clove garlic, chopped
1 tsp
reduced-calorie margarine, melted
1 tsp
salt and pepper
1 tsp
dried whole basil
1 tsp
chili powder
1/2 tsp
dried whole oregano
1/2 tsp
dried whole thyme
16 oz
tomatoes, canned whole, undrained chopped
8 oz
canned kidney beans

Step-By-Step

1saute onion and garlic in margarine in a large sauce pan until tender.

2Add salt, basil, chili powder, oregano, thyme, and pepper, stirring well.

3Stir in tomatoes and beans. bring to a simmer, uncovered, cook 10 to 15 minutes. serve hot with your favorite cracker or cornbread
