Chicken is cooked in mild mustard sauce then coated in poppy seeds and served on small pasta shells..

chicken pieces. breast or legs about 4 ounces each
4 Tbsp
butter, melted
4 Tbsp
dijon mustard
3 Tbsp
lemon juice, fresh
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
1 tsp
paprika
3 Tbsp
poppy seeds
14 oz
small pasta shells
3 clove
mashed garlic
1 c
frozen or fresh peas
1 Tbsp
olive oil, extra virgin
salt and pepper to taste

Directions Step-By-Step

Arrange chicken pieces in single layer in ovenproof casserole dish.. Mix the mustard, sugar, lemon juice, paprika, garlic and salt and pepper, brush half the mixture over chicken and bake in 375F oven for 30 minutes.

Remove the dish from oven and turn the chicken pieces over and brush with remaining mustard mix,,return to oven and add the peas and bake for another 15 minutes.

While the last stage of the chicken is cooking, cook the pasta according to pkg directions.. drain, remove chicken from oven and mix in the poppy seeds..pour over cooked pasta annd serve with a crusty garlic bun.
