Ingredients For stromboli
- CRUST

1 1/2 tspyeast
-
1 cwarm water
-
1 1/2 tspsugar
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
2 Tbspoil
-
2 1/2 cflour
- FILLING
-
1 lbmeat, ground, cut up or shredded
-
1 (6-8oz) cansauce
-
~1/2 lbcheese, shredded
-
extra seasoning - to taste
How To Make stromboli

1Cook meat and drain grease; set aside.

2In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.

3Stir in sugar, salt and oil.

4Add flour; beat for 2 minutes and let rest for 5.

5Grease a cookie sheet or other type of baking sheet.

6Add sauce and other seasonings to meat and mix.
-
7On floured board, flatten out dough into a rectangle (it doesn't have to be perfect) about 1/4" thick.

8Spread meat/sauce mixture over the dough.

9Spread cheese evenly over the meat mixture.

10Roll from long side, seal edges.

11Transfer to greased baking sheet, bending into a "C" shape.

12Bake at 350 degrees until browned (about 35 minutes).

13I like to lightly brush the top of mine with butter after I pull it out of the oven, but you don't have to.
