I have made this dish using green beans before. I bought some snap peas for another dish, but I boguht for to much peas. So to make use of all the peas I had make & come up with other snap peas meals. This dish came out great. I will be making this dish again.
1st preheat the oven to 425F. Than in a large oven safe skillet heat oil over high heat. Than season the chicken with the salt and pepper & cook skin side down for about 8-10 mins.
Next flip chicken over cook on the other side & remove pan from heat. Tilt pan & carefully remove fat from pan. Return pan to the heat & add in the garlic, vinegar, sugar & red pepper flakes. Bring all to a boil. Than place pan into the heated oven.
Than bake for about 17 mins. Add in the snap peas & half of the basil & bake for another 5 mins more. Than remove from the oven, sprinkle with the rest of the basil & serve with fresh cooked rice.
