Ingredients

1/4 c
butter or margarine
1/2 lb
mushrooms ; sliced
3/4 c
beef broth
1 tsp
salt
1 Tbsp
cornstarch
1/4 c
sauterne

IN A 9" SKILLET OVER MED. HEAT IN HOT BUTTER COOK THE SLICED MUSHROOMS UNTIL TENDER , ABOUT 5 MIN. ,
STIRRING OCCASIONALLY .

STIR IN BEEF BROTH AND SALT AND HEAT THE MIXTURE TO BOILING.

MEANWHILE IN A CUP MIX CORNSTARCH AND SAUTERNE
UNTIL SMOOTH ; GRADUALLY STIR SAUTERNE MIXTURE INTO
MUSHROOM MIXTURE AND COOK , STIRRING CONSTANTLY UNTIL THICKENED.

SERVE MUSHROOM SAUCE HOT OVER
BROILED BEEF STEAKS OR HAMBURGERS , CHICKEN , HOT COOKED GREEN BEANS OR PEA'S.
