Saw some great deals on fruit this week so I decided to make this fruit bowl for my family- to eat as they wish or to add it as a side along with a tuna sandwich, turkey burger, or ice cream....etc.

Very refreshing and colorful.

Ingredients

1/2 small
personal size seedless watermelon, rind removed and melon cut into bite size
1/2 small
muskmelon(orange in color), rind removed and cut into bite size
3 medium
peaches, pitted and cut into bite size
1 c
green sweet grapes,leave whole
1 c
sweet black cherries, pitted, cut in 1/2
1 Tbsp
granulated sugar
1 Tbsp
orange juice

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Slice the 1/2 melons into small slices and remove seeds and rind.
Cut cherries in 1/2 and remove pits.
Cut peaches in 1/2 and remove pits. Slice and cut into bite size pieces into a small bowl , combine peaches with the juice and sugar and stir to coat evenly;set aside.
2
Layer pieces of each fruit into a large bowl. You may add other fruits also if desired; such as apple slices added to the peach mixture before adding to fruit bowl.
Add strawberries or kiwi,pieces.
3
Chill, keeping ice cold and serving alone or with your favorite sandwich or dinner as a side dish or dessert with a scoop of ice cream or sherbet.

Thanks Kit- how do you like my bowl - made it in ceramics about 30 years ago- for my pasta and other salads. Made design with toothbrush and paperclip..was demonstrating for the class I was teaching..that you did not need fancy tools to something great..
