Crockpot BBQ Chicken

Amanda's Story

I love BBQ chicken but where I live - grilling isn't always convenient. In the winter, it's too cold and during the summer it's just too hot so when I get that craving this is my turn-to recipe.


3-6 large
boneless, skinless chicken breast
1 bottle
bbq sauce (18 oz)
1/4 c
1/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp
crushed red pepper
1 tsp
garlic powder

Directions Step-By-Step

Place chicken in crockpot. (I throw mine in frozen and it works amazingly. You don't even need to break them apart!)
Mix BBQ sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, crushed red pepper and garlic together in a separate bowl. (Make sure brown sugar is fully blended.)
Pour BBQ mixture over chicken, making sure to coat the chicken evenly.
Replace lid and cook on high for 6 hours. (If using thawed chicken reduce time to 4 hours so as not to burn the chicken.)
