My dads recipe for the greatest gumbo!! And healthy too, because I made it w/ chicken sausage.

Ingredients

8 oz
boneless, skinless chicken breast cutlets
1/8 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
pepper

links, fully-cooked chicken sausage, cut into 1/4" slices

14.5 oz can diced tomatoes w/ chiles, not drained
3 c
reduced-sodium chicken broth
2 c
frozen cut okra
1-1/2 c
chopped celery
1
green bell pepper, seeded, chopped
1 large
onion, chopped
1-1/2 tsp
cajun seasoning mix
1 tsp
minced garlic
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1 tsp
ground thyme

Directions Step-By-Step

Season chicken w/ salt & pepper, place in slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients and stir. Cover, cook on high for 4 hrs, or on low for 7 hrs. Remove chicken and place in lg bowl. Shred each piece w/ fork. Return shredded chicken to slow cooker. Serve.
