PJ's Wild Rice Hot Dish
|3/4 c||long grain rice, uncooked|
|1/2 c||wild rice, uncooked|
|1 lb||ground beef|
|1 can(s)||cream of mushroom soup, reduced sodium|
|1 can(s)||water chestnuts, sliced|
|1 can(s)||mushroom pieces with liquid|
|1 can(s)||bamboo shoots|
|1/2 c||soy sauce|
|1 small||onion, chopped|
|1/2||green pepper, chopped|
|1 c||celery, chopped|
|1 clove||garlic, chopped|
I came across this recipe on another site, it struck me that with some tweeks it would be a winner.... and voila it was! My husband after one plate said, "honey this is a keeper, I hope you remember what you did". I went to the counter and wrote down what I did, and here it is. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did, 2 platefuls later.
Let stand covered for additional 10 minutes.
Do not add any additional salt.
