This is a recipe for a basic Hawaiian-style sauce on the chicken, but I've added Sweet & Sour rice to accompany it. Very easy & delicious!

Serves:
4-6

Ingredients

6
chicken thighs

FOR MARINADE:

1
small can crushed pineapple with juice
1/2 c
brown sugar
2 Tbsp
soy sauce
1 tsp
ginger
2 clove
garlic, minced

FOR RICE:

4-6
servings of rice
1/8 c
rice wine vinegar

Step-By-Step

1Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl. Stir.
2Place chicken in a deep dish and pour marinade over top, making sure chicken is well coated. Marinate the chicken thighs for at least 30 mins. Save marinade.
3While the chicken is marinating, get your gas or charcoal BBQ ready to go.
4Grill the thighs on the BBQ until it is golden brown and the skin is a little crispy on the edges. Make sure chicken is cooked through (use a meat thermometer if needed) but be careful not to burn them.
5While the chicken is grilling, cook up some white rice. Add rice wine vinegar & stir well.
6Put the reserved marinade on a small saucepan and heat through.
7Serve the rice alongside the grilled chicken. Spoon the marinade over the chicken and/or rice. Just add some vegetables or a fresh salad for a quick & easy meal!
