1-3/4 c sugar
1 c water
1-1/2 c fresh lemon juice, remove seeds. leave pulp in pitcher. chilled.
7 c water, ice cold

Nancy J.'s Notes:

Some lemonades especially lower-calorie choices, fall pretty far from the tree.
Consumer tasters tried 16 including eight already to drink, four powdered, and four from recipes.
All are results can be seen in the AUG 2012 issue.
Within catagories, lemonades are in order of taste.
Results: IF LIFE HANDS YOU LEMONS,(or not) MAKE YOUR OWN LEMONADE!

 

Directions

In a small saucepan combine white sugar, and 1 cup of water.
Bring to a boil to dissolve sugar.

Allow to cool to room temperature.
Then cover and refrigerate until chilled.
Remove seeds from from lemon juice, but leave pulp in pitcher.

In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, and lemon juice with 7 cups of cold water. Keep cold. Add ice when serving.

I have made fresh lemonade ice cubes....to use in the lemonade. Keeps it from diluting the flavor...Nancy /4/12

I think I will kick it up a notch with a little vodka thanks for sharing I love any lemonade- I even make it with lemon jello powder. Real tangy.
