A great drink on those cold days

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
Drinking a cup of this soothing cider is so very reminiscent of enjoying a real caramel apple at the county fair! This one is a must have on a chilly night.

1/3 c
firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c
heavy whipping cream
1 tsp
vanilla extract
4 c
apple cider, or apple juice
1 stick
cinnamon stick

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Stir together brown sugar and whipping cream in a large sauce pan. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat, until it starts to bubble. Stir in vanilla and apple cider, cook 10 min stirring often, garnish if desired.

I got married on January 10th, a very cold day, and I had this served at the reception. I had to multiply it by 5 and it was a big hit!! We found the cutest cups to serve it in and everyone just raved about how good it was. Thanks for sharing and being a part of my special day.

This is sooooo good! I didn't have cinnamon sticks so I just sprinkled some in while heating and I was great. Need to spike it with the right spirit, anyone have suggestions?
