Saw this in a magazine and thought it looked so refreshing. With hot days and warm nights coming on, this might just hit the spot!

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
sugar
8 c
cold water
7 slice
(quarter-sized) fresh ginger
2 c
freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 large
lemon, thinly sliced, for garnish
ice

Step-By-Step

1Combine sugar, 2 cups water, and ginger in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice. Cool 15 minutes. Remove ginger.
2Add remaining 6 cups water. Refrigerate at least 1 hour, or until chilled.
3Serve over ice, and garnish with lemon slices.
