Ingredients For maine indian corn pudding

3 cmilk

1/2 cmolasses

2 Tbspwhite sugar

2 Tbspbutter
-
1/8 tspsalt

1/8 tspbaking powder

1egg, beaten

1/2 ccorn meal
How To Make maine indian corn pudding

1Preheat oven to 400. Grease a 6 cup (min.) baking pan very well with butter.

2Put 1 1/2 cup milk into a separate pan to be heated on the stovetop. Combine the rest of the ingredients and put into the greased baking pan. Put the pan into the oven. You want the mixture to come to a boil (10 mins).

3Meanwhile, bring the milk in the pan to a simmer. Once the oven mix hits a boil, you want to remove it from the over then add in the stovetop milk and stir that into the baking pan. Then place back into the oven.

4Lower oven to 300 and continue to cook for 5 hours. Remove then allow to rest for another 30 mins. Serve with vanilla ice cream on top.
