1/3 c
yellow cornmeal
1/3 c
cold water
4 c
whole milk
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
ginger
1/2 c
molasses

Directions Step-By-Step

In a small bowl, combine cornmeal and water.
In a large saucepan, scald the milk and add cornmeal mixture, stirring to prevent lumps. Cook over low heat for 20 minutes or until thickened. Add salt, spices, and molasses.

Pour the mixture into a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake in a preheated 325-degree oven for two hours and 10 minutes.

Serve while still warm with heavy cream, vanilla ice cream, or a hard sauce.
