This is a staple of the Hoosier State. This particular recipe is as close to the local Brand Name Wicks, as I have found.

Ingredients For sugar cream pie

3/4 csugar or splenda

2 chalf and half
-
1/2 cbutter
-
1/4 ccornstarch

1prebaked pie crust

1 tspvanilla

1 pinchnutmeg

2pats of butter
How To Make sugar cream pie

1Mix first four ingredients in a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened.

2Removed from heat and stir in vanilla.

3Pour into prebaked pie crust.

4cut pats of butter in half and put on top of filling. Can sprinkle with nutmeg if you desire.

5Melt butter And allow top of pie to bubble slightly under broiler.

6Cool and serve. Refrigerate leftovers
