A glorious strawberry pie with a marvelous cream cheese layer!

Ingredients

8 oz
pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 Tbsp
milk
2 Tbsp
granulated sugar
1
9-inch baked pie shell
2 pt
whole strawberries
------------------------
1/2 c
granulated sugar
2 Tbsp
cornstarch
1/3 c
water

Step-By-Step

1Combine cream cheese, first milk and first sugar, mixing until well blended.
Spread onto bottom of pie shell; cover with 1 pint strawberries.

2Combine remaining sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan; gradually add water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

3Cook one minute or until mixture is clear and thickened.
Halve remaining strawberries; add to cornstarch mixture.
Pour over whole strawberries.
Chill several hours or overnight.
