Shoney's Strawberry pie

This is a very old recipe. It is always delicious and very yummy. It is easy to prepare.

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
sugar
4 Tbsp
cornsarch
1 1/2 c
boiling water
1 small
box strawberry jello
1 qt
sliced fresh strawberries.

prebaked pie shells
1
carton of cool whip

Step-By-Step

1Prebake pie shells
2Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, 4 Tbsp. cornstarch, 1 1/2 boiling water. Cook until thick. Remove from heat.
3Add pack of strawberry jello. Mix good, & cool.
4After it has cooled, add the sliced strawberries. Put into baked pie shells.
5Refrigerate at least 2 hours, or until it has set up.
6Serve with whipped topping, ( I spread a layer on to of the pie.)
